To continue to draw our strength and love from the Lord Jesus Christ, so that our arms and hugs will become an extension of His love to every person coming in the church doors. That we will continue to walk in the strength of the Lord and let the outflow of the power of the Holy Spirit always have His way in our lives and in our greeting. To become more discerning as we stand at the doors.
Mission:
To provide a one-another ministry; a face-to-face; hand-to-hand ministry to the people that we are called to serve. The Greeter opens the door to a kindly church, to the ministry of a helpful pastor, and to the potential of a spiritually refreshing worship experience.
Specific Ministry Requirements:
Pray to answer the call for the ministry – and to be committed to the ministry. Have a caring and polite spirit for the people.
Meeting Times:
We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00PM.
Additional Information about the Ministry:
We currently have 18 people serving in the ministry and are seeking more.
We have teamed with Ken Curenton and Jerry Galbreath (Friends of the Homeless Ministry) to provide a home-cooked meal to the residents of a homeless shelter at least twice a year. This project satisfies the community outreach segment of the ministry.
